About Miss Brandly!
About MeHello! My name is Mariah Brandly. This year is my first year teaching. I graduated from Cornell College this past Spring. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. I student taught in two different locations. My first experience was in second grade at Grant Wood Elementary in Iowa City. After finishing at Grant Wood I had the opportunity to teach abroad! I taught in a third grade class at St. Matthew's National School in Dublin, Ireland. Both these locations gave me great opportunities to become a better teacher.
As well as teaching I am coaching Middle School and High School volleyball. I have been active in volleyball since the day I can remember. I was on Cornell's varsity team for four years. We made it to the National tournament each of these four years. In 2014 we made it to the Sweet Sixteen! While at Cornell I also competed for the track and field team. I am originally from a small farming town called Eaton, Colorado. throughout school I participated in volleyball, basketball, and track. I was also an active member in 4-H. I participated in cooking and sewing, and showed goats and pigs. |
